Request for Short-Term Consultancy Services – Training of Board Members
Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE), a women-led, faith-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) is soliciting a consultant with expertise in updating the Board manual and training Board members to meet global best practices and improving the skills of WEWE Board
Position: Short-term Consultant
Location: FCT, Abuja
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must have a standard training curriculum which will be used
- Draft training goals and objectives
- Review the existing Board Terms of Reference (TOR)
- Update the existing Board Manual
- Train Board members on Organizational and Board governance
- Board performance evaluation and action plan development
- Write a detailed report on the Board training
- Draft pre and post-training assessment
Duration of Assignment:
The assignment is to be completed within One (1) week from the date of the official signing of the contract
Qualification
- Postgraduate degree in relevant course
- Professional certification will be an added advantage
Experience
- Working in a local or international NGO or a similar entity that has a Board
- Has experience being a board member or a Board chair
- Has experience developing a Board manual
- Has evidence that you have done these trainings before with references
- Understanding of NGO and non NGO Board manual
- Minimum of five to ten years of experience in conducting Board Training
