URGENT JOB VACANCY IN WIDOWS AND ORPHANS EMPOWERMENT ORGANIZATION (WEWE)- PROGRAM ASSOCIATE

The Incorporated Trustees of Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization [hereinafter referred to as “Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE)”] a local not-for-profit, faith-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) is seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill in the positions of Program Associate.
Position: Program Associate
Location: The successful candidate will be based in Abuja
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the program team to ensure that all WEWE’s GlobalGiving project activities meet effective programming standards and best practices established by the donor, and the Nigerian Government
- Professionally attend to all Widows’ concerns
- Ensure accurate recording and enrolment of Widows
- Ensure periodic updates of the Widows database
- Basic bookkeeping of donors’ cash inflows and disbursement to beneficiaries
- Support program team in writing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
Qualification and Experience required:
- Diploma or its equivalent in any social science subject or related fields
- A minimum of one (1) year of previous work experience with an NGO
- Strong communication skills
- Report writing skills
- Fluency in both written and oral English is required and the ability to speak the local language of the region is desirable.
