Project Manager

The Incorporated Trustees of Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization [hereinafter referred to as “Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE)”] a local not-for-profit, faith-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) is seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill in the positions of Project Manager in response to USAID request for applications

This position is being recruited strictly on merit, we do not have an already existing candidate, and we are sincerely looking for the best candidate that can add value to the organization

Position:         Project Manager

Location:        The successful candidate will be based in Abuja

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • S/he will provide the overall project leadership, vision and management to staff for successful implementation.
  • S/he will be responsible for meeting all agreement obligations, including documentation and quality report writing.
  • S/he will be responsible for overall oversight and administrative management of the program.
  • S/he will develops and coordinates training schedules and ensures availability of qualified trainers.
  • S/he will be responsible for meeting agreement obligations, producing deliverables and targets, and achieving project results
  • S/he oversees project planning, provides technical direction and support and ensures implementation, with a focus on results, and financial accountability for all project activities.
  • S/he will provides on the job mentoring and supportive supervision of trainers and supervisors.
  • S/he will oversees M&E activities to ensure data is collected, reported accurately, completely and on a timely basis.
  • S/he will ensures completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all documentation of activities on project ePlatform and using project templates (training, mentoring, and completion of the nutrition tracker).
  • S/he will be responsible for all reports and ensures results for project activities.
  • S/he will Communicates with the grantees  

Qualifications and Experience

  • Individual in a leadership role in the organization.
  • Proven and demonstrated Project Management Expertise in the health sector
  • MPH, MBBS, Medical, Nursing, or other relevant master’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally managing nutrition, child health and related projects, ideally at the primary healthcare level.
  • Advanced experience in competency-based skill building training for health workers
  • Experience managing a USAID funded project/sub-project is highly desirable.
  • Experience using M&E software such as Excel, DHIS2, and other open-source platforms.
  • Experience in data analysis and report writing.
  • Excellent English writing skills.
